Summary: Your data reaches the VOLO™ App after your device syncs it, so most gaps are fixed by syncing your device, checking permissions and refreshing.
Check the basics
- Open your device's own app (for example Garmin Connect or Oura) and let it sync. The VOLO™ App gets your data after your device's app has synced it.
- In the VOLO™ App, open the menu (☰) and tap Settings → Manage Devices. Check that the device has a green outline. If it has a red outline, tap Reconnect.
- Pull down on the home screen or the Activities tab to refresh.
- On the Activities tab, make sure you're looking at the right week. Workouts and points are shown one week at a time, Monday to Sunday. Use the week selector at the top to pick the week of your workout.
- If you see No workouts found, tap View All Workouts to open Workout History, then pull down to refresh. If you see a message that your workout history couldn't load or that you're offline, check your internet connection and tap Retry.
Apple HealthKit (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android)
- Apple Health and Health Connect data is sent from your phone, so open the VOLO™ App regularly to let it sync.
- Make sure the VOLO™ App can read all categories. On iPhone, open the Health app, tap your profile picture, tap Apps, choose the VOLO™ App and turn all categories on. On Android, open Health Connect (usually in your phone's Settings) and allow all permissions for the VOLO™ App.
- If you tapped Not Allow on the Health Data Access message after signing in, your health data isn't syncing. To turn it back on, open the menu (☰), tap Logout, sign back in, and tap Connect when Health Data Access appears.
Workouts with "Points pending"
Some imported workouts aren't matched to an activity type automatically. They don't get full points until you tag them.
- On the Activities tab, tap Tag Workouts on the Unassigned workouts found card or the Points pending message.
- Choose the closest match from Popular Tags, or tap Search All Tags.
- Tap Add Activity Tag.
The VOLO™ App uses the same activity for future workouts with the same name. You can also tag a single workout in Workout History by tapping Add Activity Tag on it.
If you see Failed to tag workout, check your internet connection and try again. If it keeps happening for the same activity, contact us and include the activity name.
More tips
- Start your workouts on a device that measures heart rate, such as your watch. Cardio points are based on the time you spend in each heart rate zone. A workout from a connected device with no heart rate data at all doesn't count. Workouts you add manually are the exception: they count without heart rate, but don't earn cardio points.
- If the same workout is recorded by two connected devices or apps, it's counted once.
- Steps and other daily totals update after your device syncs, so they may lag behind what your device shows.
- If the Activities tab says Activity Paused, your plan is paused. Tap the three-dot icon next to it and choose Restart. Workouts you do while your plan is paused don't earn points.
